Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra: how to play, roles, Divine Cards, the Divine Draw, game modes and ranking.

  • How do you play Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra?

Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra is a free-to-play 4v4 team-battle game with cross-play (PC, PlayStation, Switch, iOS, Android). Two teams fight to capture strongholds guarded by the four Gods of Destruction, then steal the opposing team's Dragon Ball to win. A match lasts about 7 to 20 minutes; you level up and unlock skills during the match.

  • What are the Damage, Tank and Technical roles?

Every hero has one of three roles: Damage (deal as much damage as possible), Tank (absorb hits and protect the team) and Technical (utility and support). A balanced team combines all three roles.

  • What are the game modes?

There are three main modes: Standard Battle (4v4, destroy the towers guarded by the Gods of Destruction then capture the enemy Dragon Ball; the Divine Draw sets 2 random rules at the start), Land Grab (control 3 zones, first team to 500 points wins) and Finders Keepers (one team searches for 3 hidden chests while the other defends until time runs out).

  • What are Divine Cards (Divine Combo Cards)?

Divine Cards (Divine Combo Cards) are power-ups earned DURING the match, not gacha: dealing damage fills an energy gauge that unlocks a card. You equip up to 3 cards (one red = attack, one green = defense, one blue = utility), unlocked from Role Rank D4. The exact total number of cards is not officially confirmed.

  • How does the Divine Draw work?

Before a Standard Battle match, the Divine Draw randomly picks 2 special rules that change the match. It is separate from Divine Cards and grows every season (Season 6 added the 'Burst Step' Divine Draw). The draw probabilities are not officially disclosed.

  • How does the ranked ladder work?

The ladder goes from E to SS (E → D → C → B → A → S → SS), with 4 divisions per rank except S and SS, and Rank Points earned by thresholds. Ranking is per role, and you need to reach A+ to unlock season rewards. On Gekifight, a community ladder is derived from tournament results.

  • How do you use serial codes?

Serial codes are redeemed on Bandai Namco's official web portal (available in French, English and Spanish) and grant rewards such as capsules and Zeni. Gekifight keeps a dated, honest tracker of active, expired and uncertain codes under Tools › Serial codes.
